Loyalty Academy is going to organize the 13th Loyalty Cup inter-school football tournament from Friday.
Birendra Kurumwang, Principal of Loyalty, said in a press conference on Thursday that 14 teams, including three from Loyalty, will compete in the competition. The participants will be divided into four groups and played on a league-come knockout basis.
Trijyoti, Chelsea World, Himalayan and Loyalty 'A' are in Group 'A' and Holygarden, Little Angels, Fairyland and Loyalty 'C' are in Group 'B'. Peace Point, Eastpole and Gateway Academy are in Group 'C' and Loyalty 'B' Reliance and Jagat Mandir are in Group 'D'. In the
competition, students of U-12 age group studying up to class 7 with a height of 4.11 feet will be allowed to participate. It will be in seven A side form. Galjen Sherpa, ECA in charge of Loyalty, said that it will cost around 3 lakhs.
The title of the last edition was won by Peace Point. Before that, Little Angels, Host Loyalty and Gyanodaya have won the title 2 times each. The match of the tournament, which will last until February 5, will be held at the organizer's own ground.
