Tank Bahadur Karki became the first in the 5 km open race competition organized in Hetounda on the occasion of 'Janyuddha Diwas'.

He crossed the distance in 15 minutes and 52 seconds.  Rajendra Rai covered the distance in 15 minutes and 53 seconds and secured the second place. In the

competition, Raj Tamang was able to finish third. He covered the distance in 16 minutes and 2 seconds  In the competition, the first, second and third winners were awarded certificates with 15,000, 10,000 and 5,000 rupees respectively. 

The open race organized by Poorjan Mukti Sena Nepal Makwanpur  170 people participated in the competition. The race was started from Buddha Chowk in Hetaunda. Kumari Moktan, a central member of Maoist, distributed prizes to the winning runners of the competition.
