Greenfield and Xavier College advanced to the finals of the fourth Herald Cup intercollegiate basketball tournament on Wednesday.

In the first semi-final, Greenfield defeated the host Herald College 66-59. Sashant Karki scored 28 in Greenfield's victory. The first quarter ended with a tie of 9-9, and in the second, Greenfield took a 27-15 lead. Herald led 15-11 in the third and 20-19 in the fourth, but it was not enough to win.

Xavier defeated Goldengate College 53-46 on Lucky Maharjan's 16 points in the second semi-final. Xavier scored 20-4 in the first quarter, 8-13 in the second, 13-10 in the third and 12-19 in the fourth. The final will be held on Thursday.
