Western Cricket Club has won the title of Rupandehi Super League. Western won the Super League for the third time after defeating Lumbini Khukuri Club by 39 runs in the league final of the 23rd edition on Tuesday.
Western won a trophy with 1 lakh 1 rupees and runner-up Lumbini Khukuri won a prize of 50 thousand 1 rupees. Western won the
toss and scored 225 runs in 40.4 overs in 41 overs. Naren Saud played a half-century of 66 runs. Dev Khanal contributed 46 runs, Sandesh Thapa 22, Ranjit Khadka 21, Neerkumar Gupta 20 and Bhuvan Pandey contributed 14 runs. Ajay Kumar Chauhan of Lumbini Khukuri took 5 wickets, Bhuvan Karki took 2 wickets, Durgesh Gupta and Supreet Ghimire took 1 wicket each. In the
reply, Lumbini Khukuri managed to score only 186 runs in 38 overs. Nischal Chaudhary scored 43 runs, Bhuvan Karki scored 28 runs, Prajwal Thapa scored 23 runs, Sameer Ali scored 21 runs, Amar Mishra scored 16 runs and Ajay Kumar Chauhan scored 10 runs. Westerner's Naren Saud took 4 wickets, Dev Khanal and Sujag Thapa took 2 each and Sandesh Thapa took 1 wicket. Naren Saud was the man of the final for his all-round performance. He received an award of 1,200 rupees.
Western's Dev Khanal became Man of the Series in the tournament organized by Rupandehi Cricket Association with the help of Siddharthnagar Municipality. He got a prize of Rs. Western's Abhishek Gautam was declared the best bowler, New Horizon's Nischal Gyawali the best batsman and Tilottama Cricket Club's Sandeep Yadav was declared the emerging player.
