Cricket Excellence Center (CEC) has won the district selection tournament organized for Kathmandu Prime Minister Cup National. Rit Gautam's century saw CEC defeat Great Himalaya Cricket Academy by 107 runs in the final at Moolpani Cricket Ground on Saturday.
After Player of the Final Rit scored 113 runs off 129 balls, CEC, who batted first, lost 9 wickets in the scheduled 50 overs and scored 261 runs. Similarly, Virendra Dhandi scored 67 runs off 79 balls and Prithu Baskota scored 41 runs off 44 balls. Great Himalaya's Ishan Pandey took 4 wickets for 45 runs, Kiran Budhamgar took 3 wickets for 42 runs and Darshil Bisht took 1 wicket.
Ishan scored an unbeaten 107 runs off 86 balls, but the Great Himalayas who came to Jabaf were bowled out for 154 runs in 26.5 overs. Ritesh Agri scored 26 runs off 36 balls. Prithu, Vivekanand Sahni and Dayanand Mandal took 2 wickets each from CEC.
Ishaan of Great Himalaya was selected as Player of the Series in the tournament organized by Kathmandu District Cricket Association. Similarly, Sonu Devkota of Mahavir Club became the best batsman and Monsoon Singh of New Vision Club became the best bowler.
