Ramechhap's Likhubhuji club has won the title of the 46th Hangthum Cup held at Sankhuwasabha Mulkhark. In the final match on Saturday, Ramechhap won the title by defeating Sunsari's Srikan Thuth by 10 goals.
In the 72nd minute of the game, after Sunsari's players fouled in the D area, Ramechhap got a penalty opportunity. The goal scored by Ramechhap's Karan Magar in penalty became the deciding factor for the title. Nagen Rai of Srijan Youth Sunsari was declared the best player in the
competition. Milan Shrestha of Ramechhap Likhubhuji got the top scorer and Tirtha Basnet of Chulachuli Jhapa and Manjit Gurung of Likhubhuji got the top scorer. Along with the title, Ramechhap got 200,200 rupees and the runner-up, Sarajan Youth Sunsari, got 100,100,100 rupees.
8 teams from Jhapa, Dhankuta, Sunsari, Ramechhap and Sankhuwasabha participated in the competition which started from January 20. The competition has been organized since 2035.
