Nuwakot has won the title of the 2nd Bagmati Provincial Level Kathmandu Metropolitan Vice Mayor Cup Open Taekwondo Tournament with 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.

In the competition organized by New Saraswati Taekwondo Dojang, Lanchaur Taekwondo Dojang came second with 3 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze. Third place Taekwondo Dojang won 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.

Pradeep Tamang from Dhading and Nirmala Tamang from Nuwakot were selected as the best players in Gyorogi's men's category. Suman Tamang of Swastik Taekwondo Dojang and Vitisha Tamang of Jaisedeval were selected as the best players in PUMSE men.

The winner was awarded by Kathmandu Metropolitan City Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 17 Chairman Naveen Manandhar, Ward 10 Chairman Ram Kumar KC, Nepal Taekwondo Association Bagmati Province President Keshav Puri and others. Ranjit Bahadur Dangoura of the organizing committee said that 490 players from 44 teams competed in the two-day competition.
