Sign Resunga Development Bank of Butwal is going to organize Sign Resunga National 10K Run (10 km run) on February 11.
On the occasion of its 17th anniversary with the slogan 'Run to Sign', the competition organized by the bank will be held in three categories: open, local up to 50 years and over 50 years, it was informed through a press conference held on Saturday.
The winner of the open event, which will be run by local athletes including national level athletes, will receive a prize of 1 lakh rupees for both men and women, said Bank CEO Prakash Paudel. On both sides, the second will get Rs 40,000, the third will get Rs 20,000, the fourth will get Rs 15,000 and the fifth will get Rs 10,000.
To encourage the locals, the winner of the 5 km race for 50 years and above will get 15,000 rupees, the second runner-up will get 10,000 rupees, the third runner-up will get 5,000 rupees and the fourth runner-up will get 2,500 rupees.
The organizing bank believes that the race, which will be held under the approval of the National Sports Council and the Nepal Athletics Association, will also be important for the health awareness of the general public.
