Purnashankar Shrestha of God Spin Table Tennis Club has won the gold medal in the first Pushparaj Shakya Memorial Table Tennis Tournament.

Purnashankar defeated Sehopi's Rajan Subba by 11-6, 10-12, 11-9, 5-11, 12-10 in the veteran over 60 men's singles final organized by the Kholcha Pukhu Sports Committee at the Eleven Star Club in Shankhamul. Anand Dhakwa and Roshan Pradhan of CYC were joint third.

150 players are participating in 6 different competitions in the main sponsorship of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward 11 and under the management of Spin Event Pvt Ltd. The total prize money of the

competition is 2 lakhs. The top three finishers in men's/women's singles will get prizes of Rs 30,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 7,500 respectively. 10,000, 2nd, 5,000 and 3rd will get 2,500 cash prizes in 4 competitions.
