Unique School became the winner in the first Futsal tournament organized by Gurukulam School. In the final, Unique defeated Modern Indian School by 4-0. About 200 talented young players from 16 schools of the valley participated in the competition.
In the first semi-final, Unique defeated Active School 2-0, while in the second semi-final, Modern Indian School won 3-1 over Neighborhood School. Tancho Limbu of Unique School won the best player award.
Aryan Dahal of MIS won the best goalkeeper award. The high scorer was Sujan Chaudhary from Neighborhood. Fair play team award was won by KMC School.
Gurukulam Principal Dipendraraj Dahal said that the competition was organized to provide a platform for students to showcase their futsal skills by instilling camaraderie and a healthy competitive spirit between schools. Bina Shrestha, board member of the National Sports Council, presented the prize to the winning players.
