The host The Excelsior School won a double victory in basketball on Friday under the 11th Excelsior Cup. In Senior Boys, Excelsior beat Radiant Readers with a score of 42-21. Chhiring Gurung of Excelsior added 20 scores. In Senior Girls, Excelsior 'Rato' beat Sri Naveen Jyoti by 13-2. Excelsior's Akina Ghimire added 4 scores.
In the senior boys, People's Academy defeated Shri Naveen Jyoti 6-2, Swarnim defeated Sanskriti School 41-13 and Nisharg Batika defeated New Zenith 21-15. People's Ayush scored 4, Swarnim's Prateek Maharjan scored 18 and Nisharg Batika's Arnav Khatri scored 7.
For girls, Swarnim defeated Excelsior 'Blue' by 15-4 and Radiant Public defeated Rai School by 19-4. Swarnim's Nitisha Maharjan scored 4 and Radiant's Sina Khanal scored 6.
Similarly, in Boys Futsal U-9, Vidyavani defeated Kavya 2-0, Kavya defeated Galaxy Public 6-1 and Excelsior defeated Galaxy 6-0. Kavya beat Rai School by 1-0 in U-11. In U-14, Excelsior defeated Magus 2-0, Imperial World defeated Galaxy 1-0 and Excelsior defeated Holy Vision 5-0. Kavya and Magus played a goalless draw. In U-16, Galaxy defeated Swastishree by 2-0 goals.
