By winning Baitadi, Attaria is in the last four

Dasharath Chand Academy Baitidi reached the semi-finals of the CYC Attaria Arjun Trophy National Cricket Tournament after defeating Cricket Excellence Center (CEC) Kathmandu by 16 runs at the Phapla Cricket Ground in Dhangadhi on Thursday.

After winning the first two matches, Attaria will play the last match of the group stage against New Horizons Butwal on Friday. If Butwal wins this match, they will reach the semi-finals as runners-up from Group B. From Group A, Friends Club Dadeldhura and DCA Dhangadhi have reached the semi-finals. 

Baitadi defeated CEC and kept a slim chance of reaching the final four. Baitadi won the toss and scored 160 runs after losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Dewan Pun scored 43 runs. Player of the match He hit 5 fours and 1 six off 33 balls. 

Basant Khatri scored 32 and Amar Rautela added 29 runs with 5 fours and 1 six. Kathmandu's Dipendra Rawat and Surya Tamang took 2-2 and Nandan Yadav, Raj Shah and Younis Thakuri took 1-1 each.  In the

reply, CEC were bundled out for 144 runs in 19.4 overs. Raj Shah scored 37, Dipendra Rawat scored 32, Shubh Kansakar scored 26 and captain Nandan Yadav added 20 runs. Saluuddin Khan of Baitadi spent 14 runs and took 5 wickets and Dewan took 3 wickets. 

Ghodaghodi-11 Sukhkhad got the consolation win. In the second match of the day, Sukhkhand defeated Dadeldhura by 1 wicket. Dadeldhura won the toss and scored 124 runs after losing 8 wickets. Vinod Bhandari scored an unbeaten 56 runs with 2 fours and 4 sixes playing 47 balls. 

Kushal Bhurtel was dismissed for 13, Ayushman Bam for 11 and Gajendra Bohra for 10 runs. Naren Saud of Sukkhad took 4 wickets. He was the player of the match. Surya Shrestha took 2 wickets, Sanjay Bohra and Bhupesh Joshi took 1 wicket each. 

Sukhkhad completed the target 1 ball ago. Ayub Chand scored 33, Yogesh Bhat scored 20 and Tech Rawat and captain Sher Malla scored 18 runs. Dadeldhura's Hemant Dhami took 3, Abhishek Gautam 2 and Kailash Iyer, Kushal and Gajendra Bohra took 1 each.
