Tribhuvan University team champion with 13 golds

In the second university sports competition held in Pokhara, Tribhuvan University team became the champion.

Trivi lifted the team champion trophy with 13 gold medals. Trivi won 9 more silver and 4 bronze and became the champion for the second time.

Sudurpaschim University came second with 3 golds, 2 silvers and 3 bronzes while Madhyapaschimanchal University came third with 2 golds and 3 silvers. Co-host Gandaki University won 2 silvers and 5 bronzes with 1 gold. Kathmandu University won 2 silver and 7 bronze medals while Pokhara got 1 silver and 3 bronze medals. Purvanchal won 2 bronze medals, Agriculture and Forestry won 2 bronze medals and Lumbini University won 1 bronze medal.

Gandaki Provincial Assembly Member of Parliament Prakash Baral, Gandaki University Registrar Kailash Timalsina, National Sports Council Board Member Anjana Shrestha, Program Coordinator and Council Board Member Dr. Madhusudan Subedi, Program Secretary and Head of Department Min Kumar Sharma and others presented running shields, toffee medals and cash prizes to the winning players and team.

There was competition for 19 gold medals in men's volleyball, women's and Purup athletics, badminton and table tennis.

Midwest champion in volleyball

Midwestern University became the winner in men's volleyball. Midwest defeated Tribhuvan University in sets of 21-25, 25-13, 25-18, 25-23. Sudurpaschim University defeated Agriculture and Forestry University by 21-25, 25-4, 25-17, 25-16 and finished third.

Similarly, Tribhuvan University won 3 gold medals in table tennis. The team also won 2 silver and one bronze. Gandaki University has won 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze, Kathmandu University has won 1 silver and 3 bronze, while Pokhara and Purvanchal University have won one bronze each.

Tribhuvan University was ahead in badminton. The team won 4 gold and one silver. Pokhara, Lumbini and Gandaki won 1 silver each and Kathmandu 3 bronze.

3rd edition

3rd University Games in Chitwan The flag has been handed over to be organized by the Agriculture and Forestry University of Chitwan next year. Krishna Prasad Thapalia, Director of Student Welfare Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry University accepted the flag of the competition organization and invited all the universities to Chitwan next year.
