Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 26 on Wednesday honored the players, coaches and judges of Ward 26 who won medals in various international and domestic competitions.
Chandan Shahi and Aryan Shahi of table tennis were honored with 15,000 each, Nandu Shahi, Adrian Shahi and Sambharraj Pant with 5,000 cash each. Anita Maharjan and Harikrishna Shrestha were also honored.
Veteran basketball team winners Shailesh Kumar Shrestha, Rajesh Maske, Vipendra Maharjan, Karma Gurung, Shantaratna Maharjan, Anil Maharjan, Shailendra Nakarmi, Saroj Shrestha, Bipin Kapali, Sanjivaman Pradhan, Prashant Tamrakar and Feroze Pradhan were honored with certificates.
Taekwondo players Sijan Shrestha, Diya Rajak, Akbar Rajak, Narayan Bogti and Pratishna Rajak were honored. Taekwondo referees Ramila Khatri and Gaurav Rajak, table tennis coach Surjadhwaj KC, taekwondo coaches Narayan Pant, Anil Rajak and Milan Magar and basketball coaches Fanindraman Shrestha and Anjirman Pradhan were honored.
On the same occasion, Poornima Shrestha, who successfully climbed the world's highest peak Everest three times in 13 days, was also honored with a certificate of appreciation with 25,000 cash. Chairman of Ward 26 Khyamraj Tiwari and others told them Respected.
