The Excelsior School, the host, started the 11th Excelsior Cup Boys Basketball on Wednesday with a win.

At the home court, Excelsior defeated Whitefield with a score of 27-11. Chhiring Gurung of Excelsior added 12 scores.

In the senior boys, Sanskriti defeated Pushpa Sadan 22-20, Valley View defeated Holy Vision 34-26 and Radiant Public defeated New Zenith 43-19. Pranjan Sharma of Sanskriti scored 9, Ganesh Bahadur Bishta of Valley View scored 15 and Suprit Lamichhane of Radiant scored 11.

In senior girls, Ribs beat Nisarga Batika 24-1 and Landmark Academy beat Excelsior 21-5. Ribs' Supriya Malla scored 9 and Landmark's Pratiksha Rai scored 11.

Excelsior has won in U-14 boys futsal. Excelsior won 7-1 against Kavya. Krish alone scored 4 goals for Excelsior while Sahil, Nixon and Ayan added 1 goal each. Prayush Dahal of Kavya scored the consolation goal.

In U-16, Nisharg Vatika defeated Excelsior by 2-0 goals. Nisarga's Sadisandhwaj and Aksin Das scored 1-1 goals. In the match against Bodhisattva, Nisarga drew 2-2.

In U-11, Kavya beat Sanskriti by 2-0 goals. Rehan Shrestha scored both goals from Kavya. The match between Valley View and Swastishree Gurukul ended in a goalless draw.

Kavya beat Excelsior 4-1 in U-9. Kavyaka Pranjal scored a hat trick and Suwashish scored 1 goal. Excelsior's Sanish Rajourey returned 1 goal. Culture defeated Excelsior with 3-0 goals. Sriyansh, Arve and Arsav of Sanskriti scored 1 goal each. Deepak Lama, Member-Secretary of Bagmati Province, inaugurated the

competition.
