Gala International Kathmandu has lifted the title of the Mahalakshmi Cup open men's volleyball tournament in Jeetpur.
Gala defeated the host Global Club Dhankuta by 3-2 sets in the final of the club level national volleyball tournament organized on the occasion of Vasant Panchami. The winner got Rs 2 lakh 2 thousand 222 and the runner-up got Rs 1 lakh 1 thousand 111.
Mahalakshmi Cup Sports Committee organizes 9 clubs participating in the tournament starting from January 18, said Naren Tumsa, the chairman of the organizer. Mahalakshmi Municipality Chief Dhruvraj Rai while rewarding the players said that it has increased sports activities. According to the organizers, various organizations including Mahalakshmi Municipality and District Volleyball Association have supported.
