After defeating the departmental team APF Football Club, Machindra Football Club has entered the quarter finals of the ongoing 24th Aha-Rara Pokhara Gold Cup in Pokhara.

Machindra defeated APF 2-0 in the pre-quarterfinal match at Pokhara Stadium on Wednesday. 

Aditya Shakya, who entered the field in the second half, scored a goal in the 74th minute of the game and gave Machindra the lead. He gave an excellent finish to Ayush Glan's pass. In the 81st minute of the game, Stephen Kamaha doubled the lead with a header and ensured victory. He netted Dipendra Tamang's pass. Stephen, a player from Cameroon, was declared the player of the match. 

Earlier, in the 20th Aha-Rara Gold Cup of 2078, APF defeated Machindra in the semi-finals. APF won the title that year. Machindra is currently without a title.   

Machindra will play against Three Star Club in the quarterfinals on January 27. Thursday's match will be between NRT and Church Boys United.
