Mahavir Club has reached the semi-finals of the Kathmandu District Qualifying Tournament of the Prime Minister's Cup Men's National Cricket. While winning all three matches of the group, Mahavir defeated Pushpalal Sports Club by 129 runs on Tuesday.

After Rakesh Karn scored 80 runs off 44 balls, Mahavir scored 204 runs losing 9 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Sonu Devkota scored 41 runs in 16 balls and Rijan Thapa scored 41 runs in 37 balls. Rama Rokaya, Omprakash Dangi and Vikas Acharya took 1 wicket each from Pushpalal. In response, Pushpalal was bowled out for 80 runs in 17.5 overs. Deepak Bhandari scored 34 off 44 balls and Vikev Mandal scored 13 off 14 balls.

In the next match, Third Eye Youth Club defeated Oasis Cricket Club by 4 runs. Suraj Khadka scored 30 off 28 balls, Suraj Thapa scored 23 off 26 balls and Lalit Mahato scored 21 unbeaten runs off 11 balls when Third Eye lost 8 wickets in 20 overs and scored 135 runs. From Oasis, Nirjan Shrestha took 3 wickets for 21 runs, Suvodh Dhungel took 2 wickets and Panchang Mishra took 1 wicket.

Oasis could score only 131 runs after losing 8 wickets. Roshan Pulamimar scored 41 runs off 27 balls, Nischal Shrestha scored 41 runs off 34 balls and Subodh scored 34 runs off 29 balls. Third eye's Ganesh Bishta spent 14 runs and 3, Sushil Acharya and Suraj Thapa took 2 wickets each.
