Conquest of Attaria and Dhangadhi

CYC Attaria and DCA Dhangadhi won the Arjan Trophy National Cricket Tournament on Sunday. After Bhim Sarki and Vivek Yadav shone, Attaria defeated Dasharath Chand Academy Baitadi by 26 runs at the Phapla Cricket Ground in Dhangadhi.

After losing the toss, Attaria lost 3 wickets and scored 164 runs in the scheduled 20 overs. Bhim played 33 balls while playing an unbeaten innings of 70 runs and hit 6 fours and 4 sixes. Tritraj Das scored 30, Shankar Rana 25, Vivek Yadav scored 25 unbeaten runs in 17 balls with 3 fours. Baitadi's Amar Rautela took 2 wickets and Rupesh Singh took 1 wicket.

In response, Dashrath Chand Academy lost 9 wickets in 20 overs and scored only 138 runs. Himal Dulia scored 39 runs, Basant Khatri scored 23 runs and Sumit Badal scored 18 runs. Player of the match Vivek bowled brilliantly. He took four wickets for 25 runs in four overs. Sahab Alam and Kamal Gupta took 2 each and Dipesh Kandel took 1 wicket. 

In the second match, Dhangadhi defeated Ghodaghodi 11 by 69 runs. Dhangadhi, who won the toss and batted first, scored 149 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Raju Rizal scored 37 off 27 balls, Lokesh Bam scored 31, Abhishek Pal scored 28 and captain Narayan Joshi scored 19 runs. Dharmraj Joshi of Ghodaghodi took 3 wickets and Naren Saud took 2 wickets. Dhangadhi was defeated in the first match. 

Ghodaghodi were bowled out for 80 runs in 16.5 overs. Tech Rawat scored 18 runs and Deepak Tamata scored 13 runs. Dhangadhi's Lalit Rajvanshi became the player of the match by taking three wickets. Dhangadi's Milan Bohora and Rahul Bhandari took 2 wickets each. On Monday, Fends Club will compete between Dadeldhura and Boston Cricket Jhapa and Attaria and Cricket Excellence Center Kathmandu.
