Nepal had an opportunity to beat Thailand for the first time in more than a decade in women's cricket. Skipper Indu Burma herself missed the catch and Nepal missed the chance in the ongoing triangular women's Twenty20 cricket series on Saturday.

series. Thailand defeated the Netherlands by 8 wickets on Friday. This is the second defeat in a row for Nepal. The Netherlands defeated Nepal by 20 runs on Thursday. Nepal will play against Netherlands on Sunday. 

Earlier, Nepal won the toss and decided to bat first at the Trivi Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. After playing the scheduled 20 overs, they scored 101 runs, losing 9 wickets. Coach Manoj Katuwal was not satisfied with Nepal's batting. Nepal has not defeated Thailand since 2011. Nepal has been defeated in all three matches played against Thailand since it got international recognition for Twenty20 in 2019.
