A Division League Champion Church Boys United has started victoriously in the 25th edition of International Invitational Budhasubba Gold Cup Football Tournament.
In the opening match at Dharan Stadium on Saturday, A Division League Champion Church Boys defeated the departmental team Nepal Police Club by 1-0.
Santosh Khatri scored the decisive goal to take Church Boys to the semi-finals. He scored in the second minute of the second half. He was announced as the man of the match and received a cash prize of 10,000 rupees. Sunday's match will be between the host Dharan Football Club and UKFC India. Eight teams, including two from India and Bhutan, have participated in the Gold Cup organized by the organizer Dharan Football Club as a silver festival. The winner of the
competition will receive Rs 10 lakh and the runner-up will receive Rs 5 lakh. The best player will get 1 lakh rupees, the top scorer will get 35 thousand rupees and the best in the category will get 25/25 thousand rupees.
