DAV Cricket Academy has won the title of Tiptop Indo Nepal Academy T-20 Cricket Tournament. DAV defeated Great Himalayan Cricket Academy by 34 runs in the final held at Moolpani ground.
Tiptop DAV, who won the toss and chose to bat, scored 139 runs after losing 6 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Shreyash Aggarwal scored 39, Prashant Paudel scored 33, Famous Jaisi scored 31, Kamal Shahi scored 13 runs unbeaten and captain Aarush Jha scored 11 runs. Great Himalaya's Vansh Chhetri and Samipya Sapkota took the same 2 wickets.
In response, Great Himalayan could score only 150 runs in 19 overs. Supreme goldsmith scored 61 runs from 49 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Abhi Thapalia added 11 runs and Prabal Shrestha added 10 runs. Famous of DAV took 3 wickets, Keshav Aggarwal and Taniskkumar Shah 2-2 and Kamal and Prashant took 1-1 wicket each. DAV's famous Jaisi, who performed
all-round, became the player of the final. The best player and the best batsman from Great Himalaya was Vansh Chettri, the best bowler was Samipya Sapkota and the emerging player was Abhishek Kadayat. Atrijo Roy of Bolpur Youth Town Club, Bengal India was adjudged the best wicket keeper. Roshan Kumar Singh, vice president of Nepal Cricket Association, presented the award to the winning player.
6 teams participated in the competition which started from 16th of January organized by DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharatiya School. Students under the age of 16 and studying up to class 10 participated in the competition, which was sponsored by Tiptop.
