FM Rupesh Jaiswal of Rautahat has maintained his lead by scoring 5.5 points in the 6 round matches in the men's match under the national intelligence competition. Rupesh, who is also the former champion of Nepal who submitted his claim for the title from the very beginning of the competition, turned the game around and came close to the title by using his experience in a down position. He is 1.5 points ahead of the other players in second place combined.

The 25th edition of the competition is fiercely contested for the second place . FM Kshitij Bhandari of Makwanpur, Ashish Phuyal of Dolakha and Purushottam Silwal of Kathmandu are following Rupesh by scoring 4 points. Four other players shared the third place by adding 3 and a half points. Among them are CM Shushrut Dahal of Jhapa, FM Rijendra Rajbhandari of Kathmandu, current Nepal Champion Rajan Subedi and Premkrishna Maharjan of Kathmandu. Dharam Bahadur Lama, the General Secretary of the Federation, the coordinator of the

competition, has informed that the seventh stage of the game is ongoing. Lama announced the decision of the Federation to participate in the 46th Olympiad in Kazakhstan, the international competition in Sri Lanka and other official games to the national winner.

At the end of the fourth day of the game, Sindira Joshi and Angel Maharjan from Kathmandu have taken the joint first place in the 10th Women's National Chess. At the end of the sixth stage, 13-year-old Angel, who presented a tough fight to former winner Sindara Joshi, made an interesting table of points by remaining on the same 5 points. Sindira missed a chance to take a singles lead when she tied the match with Kritisara Adhikari of Jhapa, while Angel managed to level the scores by defeating Sushila Gurung of Taplejung. Isha Giri of Banke and Shanti Dhimal of Morang are chasing the top players who managed to occupy the joint second place by scoring 4 and a half points in the

competition. In the game, Isha managed to get rid of Nihana Shrestha and Shanti Nayuma Magar. Poonam Prasai of Jhapa and Vinita Kapali of Kathmandu are in joint third place with 4 points. Poonam scored an important point by defeating Vinita in the sixth round match.

The runner-up of the competition conducted under the management of the Makwanpur District Intelligence Association will be awarded 15,000 and the third-placed winner will be awarded 10,000.
