Kathmandu (Kas)- Paramount Academy and Kingdom Himalaya have reached the semi-finals of the first Gyan Sanskar inter-school basketball tournament on Wednesday.

In the tournament organized by Gyan Sanskar School, Savin Tamang scored 14 points and Paramount beat Angels Heart by 32-28. Chhimi Rengen scored 11 in the Kingdom's 17-10 victory over Culture.

In the junior boys Golden Peak defeated Greenlawns 17-10 and Valley Public defeated Newton 38-30 to set the semifinals. Golden Peak's Aman Gurung scored 11 and Valley's Vishal Pariyar scored 14.

In junior girls, Kastamandap defeated Buddhist Children's Heaven by 16-13, Eden Bridge Academy (EBA) defeated Sathyasai by 16-14, Feriland defeated NIST by 21-16 and Valley Public defeated KVKSS by 18-13 to reach the semifinals. Sandipa of Ferryland scored 7, Sapna Giri of Valley scored 13, Jasmin Gurung of Kasthamandap scored 6 and Anamika Patel of EBA scored 13.
