Midwest University has won the Jai Nepal Cup South Asian University T20 cricket tournament title. Midwest defeated India's Lucknow University by 58 runs in the final held at the Trivi Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Tuesday.

After Diwan Pun and Bipin Khatri scored half-centuries, Madhyampaschim scored 175 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. After scoring 38 runs in 8 overs, the top four batsmen Rabindrajung Shahi (7), Nischal Rawal (19), Deepak Prasad Dumre (3) and Bipin Rawal (2) had already been lost. Midwest's Vipin was chosen as the player of the series and the best bowler. He got 15,000 for the series and 10,000 for being the best bowler. Trivika Lokesh Bam became the best batsman and won 10,000. Nepali Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba, Deputy Chairman Purna Bahadur Khadka and Navy Association Chairman Dujang Sherpa presented prizes to the winning team and players.
