Janakpur Knights has reached the final of Nepal Kabaddi League. Janakpur defeated Biratnagar Bandits by a score of 34-32 in the first qualifier at Rakhep Covered Hall on Monday.
Janakpur added 15 points from raid, 13 from tackle, 4 from two all-outs and 2 from bonus throughout the game. Biratnagar added 8 points in raid, 10 in tackle, 2 in all-out and 12 points in bonus. Janakpur took an 11-point lead in the first half.
Janakpur was excellent in all other aspects except the bonus. He scored 11 points in raid, 6 points in tackles and 4 points in two all-outs. Only 2 points could be added to the bonus. Biratnagar added 3 points in raid and tackle. The game ended 23-12 by collecting 6 points in the bonus.
In the second half, Biratnagar made an excellent comeback. But Janakpur returned to the game after not being able to handle the last two minutes. The team added 3 points to 4 tackles and a raid to make the game 33-30. Janakpur added a total of 11 points in the second half. Biratnagar scored 9 points more than that but could not win.
defeated Biratnagar will have to play in the second qualifier to enter the final. Kathmandu Mavericks defeated Himalayan Raiders 50-45 in the eliminator on Monday.
