Gorkha Society Belgium honored the runner-up Nepali team of the South Asian Football Federation (SAF) Women's Championship with cash. In coordination with former players and coaches of the Nepali national team, the society provided 222,322 rupees to the team.

On Monday, the central member of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), Pema Dolma Lama, Chief Coach Aruna Gurung, Olympian Sangina Vaidya and others handed over the amount to the players in coordination with the former coach of the women's team, Balgopal Maharjan.  National team players Deepa Shahi, Heera KC Anita Basnet, Saru Limbu, Anita KC, Savita Ranamargar, Renuka Nagarkote and Nisha Thokar participated in the


event. Chief coach Rajendra Tamang also participated in the program. 


Nepal, under the captaincy of Anjila Tumbapo Subba, was limited to the runner-up position after losing 2-1 to Bangladesh in the final of the SAFF Championship held at home.
