Police defeated Army in a tiebreaker and entered the finals of the ANFA Women's League. Police won 2-1 in the penalty shootout of Qualifier-2 at Anfa Complex in Satdobato. Police will now face defending champions APF in the final on Wednesday.
After the match ended in a goalless draw, the match went to a tie breaker. Police goalkeeper Usha Nath remained in it. She made three saves and scored a goal in the tiebreaker. Usha and Birsna Chaudhary scored for Police. Only Anjana Ranamar could score for Army.
For Army, Yaman Lavati, Samishka Ghimire and Niru Thapa missed the penalty. On behalf of Army, Chandra Bhandari, Anita Lamjel and Vimala Vick failed to score. All of them were saved by Prahar Usha. Vimala Chaudhary's shot was out. At the end of the league stage, Police was in third place.
