Midwest University and Lucknow University of India will compete for the title of Jai Nepal Cup South Asian University T20 cricket tournament. In the semifinals on Monday, Midwest defeated Tribhuvan University (TRI) by 77 runs and Lucknow defeated Dhaka University by 7 wickets.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Madhya Pashchim scored 118 runs by losing 8 wickets while playing the scheduled 20 overs at the Trivi Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Opener Ravindrajung Shahi scored 69 and Deepak Prasad Dumre scored 63 runs. After Nischal Rawal got out for just 4 runs, these two shared 89 runs for the second wicket.

In the next match, Dhaka batted first and scored 179 runs after losing 4 wickets. Iftikhar Hussain scored an unbeaten 95. He hit 9 fours and 4 sixes while playing 56 balls. Sifat Sadiq Khan scored 51 off 31 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes, John Firdosh Jami scored 15 unbeaten runs.
Lucknow completed the target in 16.5 overs. Yash Bardhan Singh scored an unbeaten 82 to win Lucknow. He hit 11 fours and 4 sixes in 39 balls. Manan Kandpal scored 59 runs off 24 balls with 8 fours and 4 sixes.
