Nepali national cricket team spinner Lalit Rajvanshi will play for Dhangadhi Cricket Academy (DCA) in the Arjuna Trophy national cricket tournament. Lalit played a major role in helping Janakpur Bolts win the title in the recently concluded Nepal Premier League (NPL). He took 17 wickets in NPL.
Lalit, who is the main player of DCA Dhangadhi, will start the tournament against Kushal Bhurtel, Vinod Bhandari, Sandeep Zora, the main players of Dadeldhura's Friends Club in the opening match on January 19 at Fapla International Cricket Ground.
DCA Dhangadhi, which includes Lalit, will play against Ghodaghodi-11 Sukhkhar on January 20 and Bostern Cricket will play against Jhapa on January 22. Lalit said that he felt proud to play for the team of the 'city of cricket'. He also performed brilliantly in the final of the NPL to deprive Sudurpaschim Royals of winning the title.
Lalit gave an excellent performance to make the champion Nepal Police Club the winner of the recently concluded Jai Trophy . He took 23 wickets throughout the tournament. He was the second highest wicket taker in the list. The Arjun Trophy dedicated to the late Arjun Khadka, who was the charioteer of Dhangadhi and Sudurpaschim Pradesh cricket, has a prize worth 2 million. As a running trophy, the winner of the T-20 format competition will get a trophy with 10 lakhs and the runner-up will get a trophy with 5 lakhs . The best player will get 1 lakh and the best batsman, best bowler and budding players will get 50,000 each. 10,000 will be awarded to the player of the match of each game.
