Defending champion Yannick Siner defended his Australian Open title on Sunday. He defeated second seed Alexander Zverev in three straight sets in the men's singles final in Melbourne.
The world number 1 player from Italy won the final 6-3, 7-6 (7/4) and 6-3. This is his third Grand Slam title. He has played in the Grand Slam finals three times and has been victorious on all three occasions. On the contrary, Zverev has lost his third Grand Slam final in a row and he is only the sixth player in modern tennis to have such a poor performance.
Yannick won the US Open along with the Australian Open in 2024.
