With 8 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals, Shaubagya Mavi Palpa has won the 6th Presidential Running Shield of Mathagadhi rural municipality level.

Prakash Pathak, Head of Education, informed that Kisan Mavi Jhadeva was second with 14 medals including 7 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze in the running shield which lasted for three days and Divyajyoti Mavi Kaseni was third with 13 medals including 6 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze. In the competition, 9 medals including 3 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze, captain Mavi Rupse won 7 medals including 3 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze, Siddharth Mavi Rahwas won 3 medals including 2 gold and 1 bronze, Mahendra Naresh Mavi Gothadi won 1 gold, 1 silver and Won 1 bronze medal. Mount Valley Kaseni Sarai won 10 medals including 4 silver and 6 bronze. Satpokhari Mavi Gothadi has won 10 bronze. 

14 schools including 11 community and two institutional secondary schools and one basic school participated. Alina Thapalia of the rural municipality education branch said that 636 students including 321 male and 315 female students participated in the competition. 

Prem Bahadur Barghare, Village Sports Coordinator, informed that 94 medals including gold, silver and bronze were won by male and female students in the competition organized in 15 Khel Vidya.  Under the

running shield, the students played volleyball, kapardi, karate, kanta, taekwondo, running, relay, high jump, long jump, triple jump, javelin throw, shot put.  Health Minister Khem Bahadur Saru of Lumbini Province, Chairman of Mathagadhi Rural Municipality Yama Bahadur Chidi, Ward Presidents Rajukmar Panthi, Tej Bahadur Ghartimagar distributed shields, medals and certificates to the winning student players in the

competition.
