Savin Karko of the Nepali Army won the first place in the 5 km race competition organized on the occasion of the 73rd International Customs Day. He won the first place on Saturday by crossing the distance in 19.13 minutes.
Dhan Bahadur Shahi of the army finished second in 19.18 minutes and Meen Bahadur Basnet of the Armed Police Force finished third in 20.21 minutes.
Customs Department Tripureshwar through Thapathali, Maitighar, Baneshwar, Tinkune to Trivi Customs Office.
Nepal Police, Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, Customs Staff, Customs Agents Federation, Transport and Warehouse Management Committee, Narcotics Bureau, Nepal Freight Forwarders Association participated with 200 contestants.
The winning contestant will be honored with a cash prize on the occasion of the International Customs Day on January 26, said Umesh Ghimire, a member of the organizing federation. The winner will get 30,000, the second will get 20,000 and the third will get 10,000 Will get Rs. The competition was inaugurated by Director General of Customs Department Harisharan Pudasaini.
