In the Prime Minister's Cup Women's T20 national cricket tournament, which is being held at Phapla Cricket Ground in Dhangadhi, the final match will be played between the departmental team APF and the home team Sudoorpaschim. Both the teams have reached the final after winning the Super Four on Friday.
Undefeated APF reached the final with 4 points. Sudurpaschim reached the title with 2 points after winning one game and losing one. Bagmati Pradesh and Tribhuvan Army Club, which are on the same 2 points, could not reach the final due to poor run rate.
In the first match on Friday, APF defeated the departmental rival Army by 69 runs. Chasing a target of 116 runs at the Phapla ground, Army lost all the wickets in the allotted 17 overs and managed to score only 46 runs. Apart from Radhika Pujara's 17 and captain Lakshmi Saud's 10 runs, the others could not score double-digit runs.
Rekha Rawal of APF took 4 wickets, Sawnam Rai took 2 wickets, captain Indu Burma took 1 wicket. After losing the toss and being invited to bat, APF scored 115 runs with the loss of 3 wickets in a match shortened to 17 overs due to bad weather. Rajmati Airi scored 35 runs, Kavita Joshi scored 34 runs and captain Indu Burma scored 18 runs unbeaten. Army's Sushmita Bhusal took 2 wickets and Ishwari Bisht took 1 wicket.
In the last match of the Super Four on Friday, Sudoorpaschim defeated Bagmati by 30 runs. Chasing a target of 113 runs, Bagmati was reduced to 92 runs after losing all wickets in 19.4 overs. Yashoda Bisht scored 30 runs and Helisa Gurung scored 23 runs. Kavita Kunwar and Karisma Thapa took 2 each and Ashika Mahara and Ritu Kanaujia took 1 each.
Sudurpaschim won the toss and scored 112 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Ritu Kanaujia scored 34 runs, Manisha Bohra scored 16 runs and Kavita Kunwar scored 13 runs. Manisha Upadhyay and Sonu Khadka took 3 each and Vipisha Shahi took 1 wicket from Bagmati. The final between APF and Sudurpaschim will be held on Saturday at Fapla ground.
