The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has appointed Australian Matt Ross as the coach of the men's national team. It has not been officially announced. But he has come to Kathmandu. He watched the Sabhapati Cup match at Dasharath Stadium on Thursday.
Ross is a UEFA Pro Licensed Coach. He previously managed the South Korean women's national team. He took this responsibility from 2020 to 2023. He has also managed the Swedish women's team, Vincenzo Giake. He has not officially managed the men's team.
The head coach of the men's team was vacant since the contract with the previous coach Vincenzo Alberto Ennis expired.
ANFA is going to repeat Rajendra Tamang as the coach of the women's national team. No official announcement has been made about this either. The women's team is playing the Four Nations Cup in two weeks.
