Australia, Bangladesh and Scotland in 'Super Six' from Group 'D'
Nepal suffered their third consecutive defeat in the ICC U-19 Women's Twenty20 World Cup. Australia defeated Nepal by 83 runs on Wednesday, competing in the Women's Youth World Cup for the first time. With this defeat, Nepal has been eliminated from the group stage.
After losing by 5 wickets to Bangladesh and 1 wicket to Scotland in the first two matches, Nepal's chances of reaching the 'Super Six' became difficult. From Group D, Australia won all three matches and reached the Super Six by collecting 6 points, Bangladesh 4 and Scotland 2 points.
Nepal will now face West Indies or host Malaysia for the playoffs. In Group A, West Indies and Malaysia lost their first two matches. The winner of the match between these two teams on Thursday will reach the Super Six, while the defeated team will play against Nepal.

However, after Kaimohi Bray and Eleanor LaRosa shared 72 runs in 12.1 overs for the fourth wicket, Australia made a huge score. Peli scored the highest 45 runs. She hit 3 fours and a six in 34 balls. LaRosa scored 31 runs off 39 balls with 3 fours. Hasrat Gill scored 30 off 21 balls with 5 fours and Chaloi Ainsworth remained unbeaten on 16 runs with 1 four and a six off 9 balls.
Pooja from Nepal spent 31 runs in 4 overs while taking 3 wickets. She also took a catch. Simana KC had two wickets to his name. Simana spent 35 runs in 4 overs. Another wicket was taken by Rhea Sharma. She gave 28 runs in 4 overs.
In response, Nepal lost 8 wickets and scored only 56 runs. Only captain Pooja could score double. She played 42 balls. But she could not hit any boundary.
