Beni Municipality and Annapurna Rural Municipality came first in the municipal men's and women's volleyball tournament held in the capital Beni. In the final match of men's volleyball held on Tuesday, Beni Municipality defeated Malika Village Pali by 3-1 sets and clinched the title.
In the
competition, Beni Municipality limited Malika Rural Municipality to the second place in 25-23, 30-28, 16-25 and in the third set 25-16.
Similarly, in women's volleyball, Annapurna Rural Municipality defeated Mangala Rural Municipality by 3-1 sets and became the first in women's volleyball. In the tournament, Annapurna Rural Municipality won 25-22, 22-25, 25-20 and 25-16 sets against Mangla Rural Municipality. In the
competition, the first place men's volleyball team received a trophy, medal and certificate with 151,000 cash, and the second place team received a trophy, medal and certificate with 75,000 cash.
For women's volleyball, the first team won a trophy, medal and certificate with 71,000 cash, and the second team won a trophy, medal and certificate with 40,000 cash. Although women and men's volleyball games have the same amount of time, financial investment and audience attraction, there is a difference in prize money in women's and men's volleyball competitions.
