In the Prime Minister's Cup Women's Twenty20 National Cricket Tournament being held at the Phapla Cricket Ground, Bagmati Province defeated the departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club by 14 runs on Monday. Chasing a target of 82 runs, Army was bundled out for 67 runs in 13.2 overs.
Anjali Vishwakarma scored 14 runs, Nigma Tamang scored 13 runs and captain Lakshmi Saud scored 10 runs. From Bagmati, Sonu Khadka, Kanchan Shrestha and Manisha Upadhyay took 2 each and Sanskriti Phuyal and Bipasha Shahi took 1 wicket each.
Before that, Bagmati lost the toss and batted and added 81 runs after losing 2 wickets in 15 overs shortened due to anger. Yashu Pandey scored 25 runs, captain Kanchan Shrestha scored 24 runs and Yashoda Bisht scored 20 runs. Ishwari Bishta and Lakshmi Saud took 1 wicket each from Army.
In the second match, Koshi beat Madhesh Pradesh by 47 runs. Chasing a target of 107 runs, Madhesh scored 59 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Apart from Pratima Sah's 17 runs, others could not score double figures. Koshi captain Rubina Chhetri took 3 wickets, Jyoti Danuwar and Alyssa Khadia took 2 wickets each. Sangeeta Rai took 1 wicket.
