The fifth edition of the Saim Premier League Cricket will be held in the last week of February.
Syam Principal Ashokraj Pandey informed in a press conference held on Wednesday that the competition organized by Syam College will be held in the last week of February. He will participate in 4 teams in the league. All four teams will have students studying in BBA, BCSIT and MBA in Saim.
Principal Pandey also said that Mulpani Cricket Ground has been proposed as the venue. According to him, to buy a team, the concerned should spend a maximum of 1 lakh. Players will be classified into 2 groups. A minimum of 5,000 to a maximum of 25,000 rupees has been fixed for players in grade 'A'. The price of grade 'B' players has been fixed at a minimum of 5,000 to a maximum of 15,000 rupees. According to the organizers, a team should buy 12 players. The marquee player was also announced at the
press conference. Dinesh Bohra in Saim Super Kings, Abhishek Bhandari in Saim Challengers, Rohit Podar in Saim Blasters and Shrijalraj Sharma in Saim Knight Riders are marquee players. The match will be 15-15 overs. Vishal Shrestha, vice principal of Sayam, informed that it will cost about 10 lakh rupees to run the competition.
Principal Pandey said that the entire responsibility of managing the competition has been entrusted to the students in order to make the students feel responsible. Siam Challengers have won the title 2 times the most.
