Under the Rupandehi Super League cricket tournament, which was postponed due to the Nepal Super League, the 'A' division matches have started from Saturday in Bhairahawa.
Last November, Ruppandehi Super League cricket tournament was played in division 'B'. In the first match of 'A' division of the competition, Western Cricket Club defeated Lumbini Khukuri Club by 45 runs and started victoriously.
In the match at Siddharth Cricket Ground in Bhairawa, Western lost the toss and lost 8 wickets in the scheduled 32 overs to make a total of 139 runs. In which, Bhuvan Pandey scored 28, Nirkumar Gupta and Abhishesh Gautam scored 20 each, Ishan Pandey contributed 16 runs and Dev Khanal contributed 12 runs. In
bowling, Lumbini Khukuri's Shahab Alam, Ajay Kumar Chauhan and Shankar Rana took 2 each and Shehzad Alam took 1 wicket.
Lumbini Khukuri, who went into batting in response, lost all wickets in 28 overs and was limited to 94 runs. Shankar Rana scored the highest 22 runs. Nischal Chaudhary scored 16 runs. Other batters could not score runs in double figures . In the
bowling, Thapa took 5 wickets after spending 26 runs in 7 overs. Ishan Pandey took 2 wickets and Sandesh Thapa and Abhishesh Gautam took 1 wicket each.
The winning team of this competition will receive a cash prize of 1 lakh 1 rupees and the runner-up will receive a cash prize of 50 thousand 1 rupees .
