Nepal Police Club players have won the title of National Beach Volleyball Tournament held at Sukute of Chautara Sangachokgadhi municipality. The pair of Chandra Bahadur Kunwar and Safal Bik of Police became the champions in the men's finals on the banks of the Sunkoshi River on Saturday.

Chandra's pair won 21-18, 14-21, 8-15 sets over APF's Balram Chaudhary and Ramesh Bik. The pair of Tikaraj Tamang and Surya Pariyar of Tribhuvan Army Club came third. APF's Mahendra Shrestha and Rajkumar Niraula won the consolation positions.

Nepal Volleyball Association, Sindhu Sukute Tourism Professionals Association and Sindhupalchok District Volleyball Association organized the women's team of Kamala Pun and Manishakumari Chaudhary won the title. They defeated the pair of Kamna Bista and Poonam Chand from their own department 21-19, 21-10 in straight sets. APF's pair of Nebika Chaudhary and Niruta Thagunna came third. APF pair Rasmita Dura and Jasna Mahata were limited to consolation.

Mayor Krishna Sapkota and Deputy Mayor Sita Thapa of Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality distributed prizes to the winners. The first, second, third and consolation teams received 50,000, 25,000, 15,000 and 10,000 rupees respectively. Police's Kamala Pun became the best player for success. Both of them got 5 thousand each. President of Nepal Volleyball Association Jitendra Bahadur Chand informed that the winner and runner-up will participate in Kava Beach Volleyball to be held in 2025. Mahendsingh Thapa, president of the Sindhu Sukuta Tourism Association, expressed his belief that the National Beach Volleyball Tournament will help Sukuta's tourism. It is the eighth national beach volleyball tournament for men and the seventh for women.
