In the national beach volleyball tournament being held in Sukute of Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality, APF players have won the quarterfinals for both men and women on Friday.

In the men's quarterfinals, APF's Balram Choudhary and Ramesh Bik defeated Madhesh players 21-9, 21-1 and APF's Mahendra Shrestha and Rajkumar Niraula defeated Karnali players 17-21, 9-21.

In the women's side, Rasmita Dura and Jasna Mahato of APF defeated the pair of Sudurpaschim 21-3, 21-18 and Nebika Choudhary and Niruta Thagunna of APF defeated the pair of Bagmati Pradesh in sets of 21-7, 21-8 to set the semifinals.

The pair of Tikaraj Tamang and Surya Pariyar of Tribhuvan Army Club, Chandra Bahadur Kuwar and Saphal Bik of Nepal Police have also won. In the women's event, the pair of Police players Kamala Pun and Manishakumari Chaudhary beat the Army pair by 21-10, 21-12 sets. The police duo of Kamna Bista and Poonam Chand also emerged victorious.
