Defending champions NCCS and Ribs have reached the finals of the 4th KMC inter-school basketball tournament in the senior girls category.

NCCS defeated Kathmandu Shikshalay by a score of 29-17. Griva Maharjan scored 14 points for the winner. Vidisha Parajuli scored 6 as Ribs beat Bhaktapur NIST 19-15.

In the senior boys, Hames beat Innovative 49-26, Wilson Academy beat Angel Lord 56-29, Bhadra Ghale beat Canvas 52-22 and Ambassador beat the host KMC 'A' 62-34 to secure a place in the semi-finals. Susank Acharya of Hemes scored 20, Rehan Dangol of Wilson scored 27, Divas Magar of Bhadra Ghale scored 23 and Vishan Khadka of Ambassador scored 35.

In junior boys, Keir English defeated Awareness International Academy (AIA) 21-13, Kashyap defeated Greenfield 30-20 and Kathmandu English School (KES) defeated Janpremi 24-14 to reach the semi-finals. Sahaj Mishra of CARE scored 9, Allen Lama of Kashyap scored 18 and Sushant Giri of KES scored 16. Nerik Academy also reached the semi-finals with a walkover from People's Academy.
