Police shocked by Anita's hat-trick

This is an outcome that few had anticipated. Who can claim that APF scored half a dozen goals against Police Club? But, it happened like this. This result shows how far ahead APF is in domestic women's football.

Where is the police itself. This victory of APF is the most beautiful in the history of Nepali domestic women's football. APF will remember this victory in the departmental derby for a long time.

Therefore, the defeat of the police was also the worst ever, which the team will find difficult to forget. This loss will haunt the police for a long time. After this win in the second round of ANFA Women's League football, APF has 9 points from 3 matches. The team has climbed to the top of the league table. Now APF has become the only contender for the title. Only APF plays badly, now others can take away the title.

Police was limited to 7 points from four games. The team's chances of playing in the Qualifier-1 by being in the second place was a shock. This is Police's first defeat in the women's league. Police have been defeated in the 13th match after completing the first and second round.

With this, APF has become the only undefeated team in the entire tournament. Police had not conceded a goal in their previous three matches in the second round. But with APF, the police looked helpless towards the end of the game and were suddenly forced to concede 6 goals.  After the

game, APF coach Jeevesh Pandey said, "All our players performed their responsibilities well in this game." I also did not imagine such a big win. The plan was to play aggressively early in the game. The onslaught continued towards the end of the match. APF was leading by two goals in the first half. It was taking a while, the game will end with this score. But there were 4 goals in the last seven minutes.

Anita's first hat-trick

Captain Anita Basnet was the hero in APF's victory. When the question about her future was being raised, she was not only leading the team correctly, but also scored a hat-trick against the police. At the same time, she showed, there is still a lot of football to be played. He still has a lot of potential. This was his first three-goal performance since 2021. This is the first time he has scored a hat-trick against a divisional rival.

'We played according to the team's strategy and it was a happy victory,' was Anita's response, 'The win in the divisional derby is very happy.' She opened the scoring in the 11th minute. It was a lucky goal. Renuka Nagarkote added the second goal in the 37th minute.

APF led by two goals in the first half. It was taking, the police did not have time to make a comeback. However, the script towards the end of the game was prepared differently, the police players could not tell what happened and what did not happen during this time.

Saru Limbu scored two goals first. His goal was possible in the 86th and 87th minutes. Anita then added goals in the third and fourth minutes of injury time to complete her personal hat-trick. Apart from these goals, in the ninth minute of the game, there was such a shot and a save that it says, there is something good in Nepali women's football. Saru's powerful shot from outside the penalty area was spectacularly saved by police goalkeeper Usha Nath.

shocked police

police really shocked by this defeat? Coach Bholanath Silwal said, "When I reached the end of the game, I was unable to speak." I never thought that our police team would lose by so many goals. However, this defeat has shown that our team also has weaknesses. Especially today we didn't have much control over the ball. Passes were also serially misplaced. If I have to repeat anything, our team has a weakness in the forward.'  Despite the

defeat, he claimed that his team still has the possibility of being in the top two of the league. Our aim will be the top two and it is possible. Finishing in the top two means playing Qualifier-1. This game means that the team participating in it will have one more opportunity even in defeat. Coach Silwal also complained about having to play continuously.

Walling Municipality will face Bagmati Youth Club on Friday. Saturday's match will be between APF and Army.
