APF Koshi region has made a winning start in the second 'Tinpokhri Cup' invitational men's football tournament which started on Friday in Khandbari.

Last year's winners entered the APF semi-finals after defeating Makalu Friends Club Khandbari by 5-4 in a tiebreaker. APF won the tiebreaker after both teams failed to score at the scheduled time.  

In another match on Friday, Tinpokhri Samaj Bikas Club defeated Khandbari Youth Club by 1-0. Mixen Limbu scored for Tinpokhari in 3 minutes of the first half. 

APF,  Eight teams from Koshi province including Bhausabari Morang, Chulachuli Jhapa are participating. The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of Rs. The runner-up will receive Rs 100,000 in cash and the two semi-finalist teams will receive Rs 25/25,000 in cash. 

For the safety of the players, health insurance of one lakh rupees has been provided for each player. The final of the competition will be held on January 1.
