The 4th KMC inter-school basketball tournament organized by KMC School will be held from Saturday.
Dwarikanath Amgain, Principal of KMC, informed at the press conference held on Friday that 36 teams from 28 different schools will participate in the competition in 3 categories. 16 teams will compete in Senior Boys, 8 in Senior Girls and 12 in Junior Boys. Pravesh Shahi, ECA in charge of KMC, informed that about 350,000 rupees will be spent to conduct the
competition. New Zenith in Senior Boys, NCCS in Senior Girls and Gyan Niketan in Junior Boys are past winners. Apart from NCCS, two former winners are not participating in this edition.
Principal Amgai said that the main purpose of the competition is to increase students' interest in sports and to provide an opportunity to reveal their talents.
The match of the tournament to be held with the technical support of Nepal Basketball Association will be played on the court of the host. The final of the competition will be held on January 6 on a Leaguecom knockout basis.
