Tribhuvan Army Club has won the title of Madan Bhandari Gold Cup Indo-Nepal Running Shield Men's Volleyball Championship-2081 held in Butwal.

In the final competition held in Butwal sub-metropolitan city-10 Ramnagar on Thursday, the Army managed to win the title by defeating the Nepal Police Club with a set of 3-2.  In the

competition, the army defeated the police with the scores of 18-25, 25-18, 20-25, 25-22 and 15-7. Police won the first set easily. In the second set, Army's Dhan Bahadur Bhatt, Dhanpati Kunwar, Durga Khadka and Durga Mahato easily made a comeback for Army and the match was tied. The police put the third set in their account. Ravin Chand, Ravin Nagarkoti, Pahalman Gahatraj, Sanjuvikram Shah of the police won with excellent coordination. 

In the fourth set, both teams showed their best game. However, the police could not win. Army's Dhan Bahadur Bhatt became a big problem for the police to win. The police could not stop his powerful blows from both inside and outside and the match ended in a draw. Police expected to win in the fifth set. In the initial phase, the police took the lead. Finally, the army players, who advanced by stopping the police at 4 points, successfully controlled all the attacks of the police and managed to win the points in their favor. Army's Dhan Bahadur Bhatt scored most of the points. Finally, the Army won the title by stopping the last 7 points.  In the

competition, Manimukund Volleyball Club came third on the basis of set back. After the main 2 players of India's Gujarat State Volleyball who went to Kathmandu to play the national match did not return, Gujarat decided not to play the third competition match. The winning army received a trophy, shield and cash prize of 7 lakhs.

Police has received a trophy with 3 lakh 50 thousand rupees along with the second place. Similarly, Manimukund Volleyball Club, which came third in the game, received Rs 1 lakh 50,000 and Gujarat State Volleyball, which came fourth, received Rs 1 lakh.
