Chabhil Vetran reached the quarterfinals of the 2nd Lalitpur Mayor's Cup Vetran Football Tournament on Thursday. Chavhil defeated the defending champion Kupandol 40 Plus Vetran by 3-0 goals at Javalakhel ground. Ajab Shrestha of Chawhil scored 2 goals and Rajan Lal Nepali scored 1 goal.
In the competition jointly organized by Kusunti Yuva Club and Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward 13, Third Eye Club, IUFC and the organizer Kusunti 'B' also reached the quarter finals.
Third Eye defeated host Kusunti 'A' 1-0 and Vishwa Bairagi scored the decisive goal. IUFC beat BR Brothers 4-1. Yam Gurung scored 2 goals, Vinod Maharjan and Kumar Shahi scored 1 each.
Kusunti 'B' defeated Budhanilkanth Vetran by 2-1 goals. Both goals were scored by Krishna Bahadur Rai. Arjun Lama of Budhanilkanth returned a goal.
