Tribhuvan Army Club became the first team to play full 60 overs in Jai Trophy Men's Elite Cup two-day cricket. The departmental team Army scored 276 runs by losing 5 wickets after playing the allotted 60 overs in the first innings on Wednesday.

According to the rules of the tournament, the innings will end after 60 overs are played in the first innings. In response, Bagmati Province scored 124 runs after losing 5 wickets in 22 overs at the end of the first day's match. Bagmati is still behind Army by 152 runs.

The match between Bagmati and Army started late at Janakpur's Ramjanaki multi-purpose stadium due to heavy rain on Tuesday night and heavy rain in the morning. Imran Shaikh and Tritraj Das put on 103 runs in 24 overs to give the Army a great start. Tritraj scored 44 runs off 78 balls with 6 fours. He was dismissed lbw by Bagmati captain Sandeep Lamichhane.

Bhima scored 32 runs. He hit 2-2 fours and a six off 51 balls. After Bashir hit four consecutive fours in Nandan Yadav's over, Army lost 4 wickets and reached 200 runs in the 46th over. Basir hit 8 fours off 64 balls and remained unbeaten on 53 runs. 

Sompal Kami was dismissed for 7 runs. Basir shared an unbeaten partnership of 69 runs with Kushal Malla. Kushal scored an unbeaten 35 runs in 43 balls with 4 fours and 1 six. From Bagmati, Bipin Acharya took 3 wickets with 45 runs in 13 overs and Sandeep took 2 wickets with 103 runs in 22 overs. 

Nandan Yadav is playing for Bagmati with 18 runs and Bipin Acharya scoring 1 run. Ashutosh Gahia scored 11 off 9 balls, Rit Gautam 21 off 16 balls and Ishan Pandey scored 4 runs. After losing 3 wickets in 38 runs, Uttam Thapamar and Shubh Kanshakar shared 54 runs to improve Bagmati. 

Uttam scored 28 runs with 2 fours and a six in 39 balls. Nandan hit a six off Shahab Alam in the 20th over to take Bagmati's score to 100 runs. Akash Chand dismissed Shubh for 34 runs. Shubh played 35 balls and hit 2 fours and 1 six. Akash of Army took 3 wickets with 35 runs in 6 overs and Sompal Kami took 2 wickets with 45 runs in 10 overs.
