An agreement has been reached between the National Sports Academy of Virganj, where the batting brothers of the national cricket team, Arif and Asif Sheikh, are brand ambassadors, and the educational consulting organization Elite Movers Education Consultancy with the aim of developing the game and players.
Academy cricket coach Zahur Ansari and Elite Movers chief Uddhav Ban have signed the agreement. According to the agreement, the movers will support the National Sports Academy, which is under the hands of Gyanada Academy, in terms of educational, financial and sports materials. Arif and Asif also participated in the signing ceremony.
The head of Elite Movers said that this agreement will help in the development of sports not only in Virgunj but also in Nepal. Asif is also the brand ambassador of Movers. Ban promised to support the academy with sports materials and training equipment. Cricket coach Ansari said that this kind of support from the private sector will be very helpful in running the academy in a simple way.
Arif said that in his time, there was no environment to go to the academy to train, but the training of the academy would be very easy for the coming players to advance technically. Asif said that Elite Movers will be important in the development of sports in Birganj. Sheikh brothers tied the knot last week. Dai Arif is captaining the Nepal Police Club in the Jai Trophy Elite Cup two-day cricket in Birganj. Asif's APF is not in the Jai Trophy because it could not be in the top four of the Prime Minister's Cup.
There are 130 cricket players in the academy, which has been operating since last year. Academy's Chandan Ram made his 'debut' from the APF club last year and took 5 wickets against Sudurpaschim Pradesh in the Prime Minister's Cup National Cricket Tournament. In the academy, cricket, basketball, football, table tennis, badminton are being trained.
